A Green and Pleasant Land
We present an afternoon of English music. Celebrating the 150th anniversary year of Delius's birth, we perform his evocative String Quartet (1916). Born in London, Alan Bush wrote his single-movement work, "Dialectic" as a musical exploration of discourse and dialogue within a quartet. We begin the concert with Haydn's birdsong, "The Lark" Quartet in D Major, Op. 64.
